Day 1

First Day of juice fast! I know I can do this. I have decided to do at least a ten day detox, but ideally I would like to go for 30 days.  As I am a full time student I am going to see how I feel and how it impacts my studying and information retention, but 10 days for sure.

I have been inspired to do this juice fast because I really enjoyed the holidays, really enjoyed the holidays, like 15 extra pounds enjoyed the holidays.  So I'm tired of being fat, tired, sore and gross.

As a Nutrition student I know that fad dieting is not the way to go, but based on my research juice fasting seems pretty safe.  You can't go wrong with whole natural foods whether you eat them intact or juice them.

For me, juicing seems the most convenient because I can pour it into my Tervis Tumbler and go about my day. Which is precisely what I have done today.  I woke up with hardly a minute to spare before rushing to class, just like every day, but today I took an extra five minutes (I ended up being 5 minutes late for class) to make some juice to kick start my day.  This morning's juice was as follows:

                                                           1 Large Bosque Pear
                                                           2 Small Peaches
                                                           4 Small Apples

How delicious! I split the juice with my boyfriend and rushed out the door. If all my juices taste this good, this cleanse should be a breeze.
